In ancient Vedic times, the sun was invoked as Surya, Savitri, and Pushan. The magnificent body of the Sun served the Vedic people as a guiding symbol of the Divine. Even today, some Hindus daily recite the ancient dedication to Savitri, the quickening aspect of the solar being. The Sun was the origin of life on our planet and continues to be our life source. Sun is Fire and Light, the primordial teacher and giver of life. The Sun in The Brotherhood of Suns represents the Light of Wisdom that penetrates the darkness of ignorance. Light is a living Spirit which comes from the Sun that establishes a direct relationship with our own Spirit. Light is the first emanation of the Divine. Within it are all the Divine qualities of Love, Wisdom, Understanding, Harmony and Beauty.

Most people think there is only darkness behind closed eyes. But as you develop and concentrate on the “single” eye in the forehead, you will find that your inner sight is opened. You will behold another world, one of many lights, and great beauty.

Located high in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in far North Georgia where the states of Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee come together on the map, The Self Enlightenment Ashram is nestled in the Chattahoochee National Forest alongside a flowing whitewater river, and is part of a complex which encompasses approximately 180 acres of beautiful natural surroundings. The beauty of nature everywhere and the majesty of the mountains and the trees here make The Ashram a unique and splendid place, a spiritual haven where one can reflect, heal, and find themselves.

The Ashram is warmly decorated and all rooms have 100% natural cotton linens for your comfort. Sleeping facilities are both private and shared. The Ashram has comfortable accommodations for 20 people, along with two teaching and lecture halls, full kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining facilities, swimming pool, gift shop, and a riverside deck and patio. Additional accommodations for up to 50 more people are available nearby. All natural foods are served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Ashram is also home to the Rejuvena Health Spa which offers state of the art Spa Services like Massage, Sauna, Facials, Detoxification, Body Wraps, Energy Therapies, and much more. Also located nearby is the 30 acre Cherokee Rite of Healing Passage for nature walks and relaxing, the unique and beautiful Temple of Wisdom complex, Delphi University and Spiritual Center, Whitewater Rafting and Kayaking on the Ocoee River, Hiking and Biking Trails, and the beauty of nature everywhere.
